I am considering installing laminate flooring, but have a problem with an exterior door. The installation of the floor will raise the floor level up enough so that the front door will not clear the floor, I think I'll need an additional quarter inch of clearance. The door is a steel door, so I don't think I can cut it down, and even if I could, what do I do about the door jam? Can that be raised? It appears to be an integral part of the door frame. Any advise would be appreciated.:confused:
