Looking for some advise on getting a garage door opener.
Door specs: double car with an aluminum sectional door.
Desired features: durable, fast, reliable, quiet, 2 remotes, key hole entry for emergency access, and very economically priced.
*Would a LiftMaster score higher over a Genie?
*Other brands/models that would better suit my wants?
* Am I okay with just an 1/3HP?
* Is a screwdriver opener the best overall?
Your expertise along with experiences are greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Just go to Home depot and buy an excelerator lifetime. you cannot go wrong with this unit. I jus installed two of them and they are fast, quiet, come with two remotes, keypad, and an inside control panel that controls the door, light, and lock out. I have always had better luck with genie then with sears/liftmaster/chamberlain. Good luck. Let me know how it works out for you!

id much rather have the standard genie screw drive over the ISD-1000 (excelerator). we go on many warranty calls for genie due to these openers. the problem isnt with the opener itself, its the fact the door has to be perfect (not tight against the stop, heavy to open or close). if you cant open and close your door with two fingers, id pass on the excelerator.
