hi everyone, i'm new here but i love this specific type of bulletin board. :)
i'm interested in making my own headboard. i've looked at the info here:
http://doityourself.com/decor/upholsteraheadboard.htm
but that's not quite what i'm going, more of a quilted type. something more like this:

anyone have any other links or advice on building this?

Hi,
Take a trip to your local library. Ask the librarian to show you where the selection of books are for building furniture, and refinishing or repairing furniture. You should be able to get some info this way, especially if you're going to upholster it.
good luck
