We're adding on. I can either buy Home Depot vinyl windows and have my crew (husband & co.) install them and save money or buy from a local window co. Home Depot sells American Craftsman, a little concerned about the quality. The local window co. installs Seasonshield. Does anybody out there have any knowledge of these two brand of windows?

See about 5-6 posts down for my opinion on Am Craftsman.....
The Seasonshield is probably the local guys name for some brand of windows they buy ( or possibly make )......there are just a few extrusion makers, then there are LOTS of window makers, then there are LOTS MORE guys out there selling windows and slapping their own name on them. I know one guy here that used to buy from a local manufactuer here and had custom locks with his "brand" name put on them and he'd run around selling like he had his own factory....ahahahahahaha.....which I thought was incredibly stupid, since I'm sure the twit carried NO product liability insurance ! .....a MAJOR cost of building ANYTHING in this country !
