Any info on how to remove an interior wall is appreciated. The house is a 2 story box colonial with an steel I beam thru the middle. No load bearing interior walls(thats good, I guess). How do I deal with a base board heat element that is located along the wall i am removing? The wall has one door opening and is about 12' long.

1. turn off power that feeds the wall.
2. remove all electrical outlets and baseboard heaters
3. use sawzall and cut wall covering (sheetrock or lath and plaster) from the ceiling to the floor between every stud. I like to use my 6" all purpose blade. Use a utility knife to cut the tape on any inside corners.
4. wear gloves and remove the wall covering.
5. use hammer and strike the studs at the base. The nails that hold the 2x4s will break out. Grab the 2x4s and move back and forth to remove the top. Cut 2x4s in half and throw in dumpster.
6. use a prybar to remove the bottom and top plate.
PS: have a 4 yard dumpster ready to put the waste into. You will want to minimize the number of times you have to move the pieces.
