Is there a paint for garage floors that will not make the floor slippery and slick? Our garage is new, concrete floor is approx.
1 year old.
My husband is preparing to paint our garage floor, ( with what kind of paint - I don't know). I think that a painted floor will be make the floor slick and cause us to slip and fall. He thinks it will make cleaning up oil spills much easier....

Tell your husband "Do not paint the concrete floor" If you put on paint, it will keep peeling off. You use concrete stain on the floor.
It looks like paint, but it is a stain. The reason your floor is slippery is because of the finish of the concrete. Most people like the slick finish as it makes it easier to sweep, but many others want a light broom finish. This roughs the floor up a little. Good Luck
