Does anyone know which type of insulation is better?
Home is being built in South Mississippi.
Contractor want to use blown, I always have heard that the BAtt was better?

Either if installed correctly will do basically the same job.. Blown in tends to fill in all the nooks in cranny's. If I was building a new home I would probably batt with R-19 then blow the balance with loose blown fiberglass to reach an R-30 -38 total. Only downfall in my opinion with blown in insulation, is if you ever need to get in the attic to do work it is a bit of a pain finding your way around.
Good Luck
