I am about to put crown molding in my living room are there any "tricks" or secrets that would help with this project. I have an electric mitre saw(not compound). Please help save a tree, don't want to make extra trips to Home Depot.

Maybe just one more trip will be well worth it. We could give you or direct you to sites which explain the entire crown molding cut process.
But, have you considered decorative corner blocks?? They are simply placed in the corners eliminating all the miter cuts. The extra money spent on blocks will be much less than new lengths of molding due to error cuts. If you don't like this idea, please le us know.

That does sound like a possibility! Can I get them at Home Depot etc? If you do know of a web site for crown molding, I would be interested in looking at that too.

I've seen corner blocks at Lowes, HD should also have them.
