I am thinking of replacing the double hung windows on my house.
I do not want to disturbe the trim in side or out and was wondering if it is practal to reglaze them with thermopane.

If you can replace the balancers which might not be able to hold up the additional wieght then it could be done also the IG size might be limited to thickness as you would need to install something other than putty to hold the glass as manufactuerers of IG units do not warranty units installed with putty.....however you might look into replacement windows which would require very little trim removal........Take a look at www.pella.com for a step by step installation manual and you'll see what needs to be done....
