We have a couple stools that the rungs keep coming loose on. Gluing doesn't seem to work. I've seen, on TV, some small perforated metal strips for jamming into the rung holes to keep the rungs tight, but I can't find them around here. Have any ideas or some other way to keep these stools together?
Thanks, Ted

For the woodworker's glue to work, it takes pressure. Pull the rung out as far as possible and liberally squirt with glue and reinsert. If you don't have clamps, loosely tie a rope around the legs. Take a dowel or stick and twist the rope taut by turning the dowel. Slip the dowel behind the leg to hold in place. Let set 24 hours to dry.
