My apartment has several walls covered (since 1980 or so) with a foil wallpaper. Are there any tricks to removing this as compared to a vinyl or paper? I've heard that it is terrible to handle.

Me thinks back to the words of Dickens:

It could go either way for you. First, try proper wallpaper stripping techniques (http://www.wallpaperinstaller.com/wallpaper_stripping.html). If this fails, then you meet one of the criteria for painting/wallpapering over your existing wallpaper. You can view advice for that at the top of this forum. Best of luck! :cool:
