What is the best way to repair cat scratches on woodwork and wood doors. Some of the scratches are very deep.
On the light scratches, do I sand and restain the wood?
Thank you.

Sanding and restaining/finishing may work if they are not too deep. For deeper ones you would need some type of wood filler. There are brands that are stainable so you may be able to get it close. If the trim is real bad replace it for best looks. I have seen cat damage before and ended up replacing it because it was quite bad. I also talked to a couple that had most of the trim in their house redone because of their parrots shredding it.
