I have blown in, shredded type insulation in my attic. I want to cover it with 3/4 " plywood for storage (or a remodel project in the future. Do I need to leave space between the insulation and the plywood? If so, how much? And should I put insulation on the walls? If so, what type and R factor. Thanks

You dont want to compress the insulation in any way by the plywood but an "airspace" isnt really necessary.
However im taking it your attic is semi heighty if you consider a remodel in the future.. if you put insulation around the knee wall and in the rafters you want to make sure you dont block and soffits .. you can buy inexpensive plastic 'chutes" that get stapled up to create an air space which can save you alot of trouble down the road..

Thanks, yeah it's about 10' in the center, any idea what R factor I should use in the rafters?
