My boiler keeps overheating, with the hot water being released through the pressure relief valve. I've replaced the air expansion tank and the pressure relief valve, but the overheating continues. The thermostats for the boiler are set at the appropriate temperatures.
Need some help on pointing out where the problem may be.
Thank you.

What PSI reading are you seeing on your altimeter gauge ?
You should see 12-15 PSI for a cold boiler (for a typical two story house). A hot boiler will read 18-25 PSI.
If you see values much higher than these, you need to adjust your pressure regulator which supplies water to your boiler from the cold water line.

Thank you. I have another question. Where is this altimeter located? There is nothing from the cold water supply line to the boiler where I can see this altimeter.
Thank you again for your help.

HVN,
The altimeter is a essentailly a pressure gauge (typically 3" diameter) that is graduated from 0-50 or 0-60 PSI and it should sit right on top of the boiler by itself.
Thanks

TheZman, thanks a lot! Yes, the altimeter has been going up past 30. I see that there is a Watts regulator on which it says "Set 12-15, Range 10-25". I guess this is what I would need to replace to solve the problem.
Thanks again for your help! Have a good day!
