Hi! I'm new to this website and it looks great! I'm very interested in building a bedroom closet...Yes, I'm dealing with an old home and plaster versus drywall (sigh)...My questions are: How do you find the ceiling joists and wall studs on these walls? Is there a website or a way you can get a blueprint of sorts to help you plan this better...Can you buy a pre-fab kit of sorts that would be a good alternative?

Thanks in advance for any advice/guidance you can give!

Doug:)

You can use a stud finder, around $10 or so at HD. Or you can look for a stud next to an electrical outlet and start measuring 16" OC from there.

Other choices are building a free standing one or purchase one from a place like Ikea or something.
