My wife and I are expecting our first child and I would like to make a toy box. Any suggestions on where I can get some ideas and plans? My skill level is novice.

Darren,
The most important part of building the toy box is the lid/hinge system. To protect those lil' fingers you positively want a lid with a no-slam hinge.
good luck,
fred

Hi,
Here's a site with several options, some for sale some for free.
www.the3house.com
click on free woodworking plans
in the search box type in toy box, then click on the search
button, don't use enter or it won't work.
scroll down to the bottom and click on the toy box, you'll get
about six or seven options. Also try your local library for
some plans.
good luck,
Trent
