I have a heat pump and the fan mounted on the furnace portion runs continuously. The thermostat fan is on "AUTO" position and the cool/off/heat is in the "OFF" position. The only way to stop the fan is to turn the breaker off. Since this is not a gas heater I do not believe there is a switch like in the other examples. It seems to me that the problem would be in the printed circuit board or the thermostat. Suggestions?

Hey,
Check your fan relay it could be stuck closed.

In fact I have now checked the t-stat and the relay. After moving the relay the fan went off but the next cycle of the heat the fan remained on again. I am in the process of getting a new relay. Thaks.
