Do you have any idea where I can learn how to plaster?. Or where can I find some how to literature?. A wall in the house I am restoring has suffered severe water damage and needs to be redone. The house was built in 1911 and lath is the substrait.

there is a "plug" that you can get at a home improvement center for holding up the plaster that is not againest the lathes tight .Have you ever heard of them? On water damage large area I just cut the peice out stud to stud and put in a peice of dry wall.It worked out fine.or you can buy a metal type mesh screen and nail it tight the plaster goes into the mesh screen and then you just smooth it out to look like the rest.
