I am building a new home and my builder installed the wallboard before the roof was finished. As a result, I have alot of wet wallboard and finished seams. How can I tell if the wallboard is ruined and needs to be replaced or will it be ok after it dries out?

Your builder is probably going to have problems.
It depends upon how wet the wallboard got.
Let it dry out thoroughly and check the wallboard for buckling, warps, loosened seams, soft spots, etc. If any of it doesn't look right, don't accept it. It should be prefectly smooth.
Drywall shouldn't have been installed until the home was dried in.
Also, check for any wet insulation. If insulation got wet at all, it is ruined and will have to be replaced, also.
THAT'S the builder's problem.
Good Luck!

Don't let the builder off the hook on this one - he jumped the gun. The insulation and drywall should not have gone up before the roof was on. Even if the drywall dries OK, I would be worried about the insulation. At minimum, he should prove to you it is dry. If he gives you problems, contact the local building inspector.

What kind of jack ass does something like that? Does that mean that the plumbing and electrical were installed as well? I was really mad when they started hanging trim when I wasn't finished with taping. Some people just don't know what the heck they are doing. Can you say Lawyer?
