I'm finishing my basement and want to enclose my furnace/boiler unit. It is currently using propane and vents outside appropriately. Are there any codes that regulate the spacing between the closet doors and the unit? Also, I will be using bi-fold doors. Do they have to be louvered to allow the unit to breathe? I was thinking solid panel doors would help to reduce noise. The closet will have sheet rock walls, but no ceiling (exposed 2x10's above). The rest of the basement will have a drop ceiling.
Thanks,
Howard
