Hello everybody!

I came across the funniest stories over in the Gardenweb. If you just want to take a break and have a laugh, check it out.

http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/newgard/msg0201304529037.html?43

Hopefully, the above link will work. If not, just go to Gardenweb.com, then to "Gardening Forums", then to "New to Gardening", and then to "My Stupidest Gardening Mistake".

I for one should be able to make some contributions to that thread. :)

OK Eric,

I'm going to scope it out. I hope you go by Bomber! Hmmmmm, if you don't, we'll have to have a guessing game as to which "interesting" story was yours! :D

Hi again Eric,

Well, there's nothing over there past March 18--that I can pull up. Does anybody else see anything later?

Eric, were you able to see your post?

BTW, I'm KCBarb on GardenWeb, but I don't post much. I'm what you call "one of them there lurkers"! :D)

Gami,
No I couldnt see it either. So here comes the story instead...

The first time I tried planting carrots, I had no idea what the tops looked like. When I saw them popping up through the soil, I thought they were weeds... Imagine my surprise when I had no crop

Eric

PS. Ok ladies... your turn to volunteer your stories

Hey Eric,

What, no crop? :) Fancy that?

OK, since Eric and I are obviously the only ones up--or on-line at this time, let's post our stories on GardenWeb and see if they show up. I'll have to sleep on this one and think about what the most "stupidest" thing I did, because there were a lot of them. Hmmmmmmm! ZZZZZZZZZZ Tomorrow! :)

Florajo,

It's a warm day. I'm going outside to see what damage I can do. :D I'll be thinking about what I really want to fess up to while I'm out there.

Hi everyone!

I'm so glad you guys wandered over to that thread on Gardenweb! It made me, the superlative gardening idiot, feel good to know that not only do experienced gardeners make mistakes, but they are also willing to share the blunders and laugh about them.

I cannot figure out why Eric's story (Bomber095) didn't show up on that thread. Gami, you're right that the last post is March 18! Darn the luck! Guess we'll have to start a similar thread over here, whaddya say?

And, BTW, Eric, I don't think I'll be the one to pull the veggies up thinking they're weeds. No, I see myself more the Nurture-the-Weed-Because-I-Think-It's a Vegetable type....:) Don't worry, I'll fess up no matter which occurs...
