Hi all,
Our baseboard heaters are really noisy lately. It sometimes sounds like the pipes are empty and the water is filling them... It's pretty loud "whooooooosh!" noise. Also, the circultor(s) sounds different as well, almost as if there's "sand" in the impeller. After a bit, they will sound normal however.
We have an oil fired burner with 2 zones and as stated, base board heaters.
The system was just serviced, but no work was done to the water in the system. I did a "search" here and read that some people have "bled" their systems. Is that something I should look into? I guess my assumption of the furnace "refilling" itself was incorrect.
I can post pictures of the set up and pipes if needed.

What you are hearing is probably air in the system. You may have to add water manually or you my have an automatic feeder. They may have bleeder valves or purgig valves.
I may be able to help if I see the pics

I can do that Rick! What do you want pics of? All the piping leading to and away from the unit?

Try to get the valves in the piping at the boiler
