Since I don't have Osmocote 14-14-14, could I just double-up 7-7-7, or is it more complicated than that?

This site recommends 8-8-8- or 10-10-10, but be sure and read what else it says about fertilizing figs.

In answer to your question, I asked Byron if I couldn't convert 20-20-20 to 10-10-10 by doubling the water. He said it doesn't work that way. Hopefully, he'll come along and explain that to you.
