Water continues to drip out from the boiler check valve rated at 30lb and 500,000 btu/hr. I read that some temp and pressure releaf valves need to be installed in a vertical orientation, This one is installed horizontally. Does this make any difference. I welcome any suggestions other that to contact my furnace installer. Thanks.

Look at your pressure gauge, what is it reading?... you may have one of many problems.... dirt under the seat of the safety valve, a leak in your wateheating coil if one is on your boiler, a water logged expansion tank, a faulty pressure reducing valve. I suggest having a service person look at it.

Thanks for your comments, I found and resolved the problem. No air in the expansion tank, so I simply drained and refilled it to recharge the tank. Takes a bit of time but it did solve the problem. Always consult with your local plumber before taking on any boiler repairs.
