I heard that there is a new sort of lining paper which can be pasted on top of woodchip and comes out smooth, due to some sort of special coating which expands into the rough surface left by the woodchip.

I have asked at B&Q and Homebase, and they've never heard of it.

Do you know what it's calle and where I can get it from?

I've got a HUGE ceiling and above-picture-rail area covered in the dreaded woodchip and the bit I've already had a go at has proved a NIGHTMARE to remove.

PLEASE help!

Thanks

Nigel

Nigel,

It is known as bridging material. You can get it from www.wallliner.com. You might want to call/email them since you are overseas. Their number is 1 800 221-5798 or (732) 287-9595 or edwardhovnanian@wallliner.com. They do sell it online, but I am unsure of special shipping expenses overseas, so check with them via email or over the phone. The product you want is Heavy Duty Non Woven Wall Liner and it applies just like wallpaper and you would order the same amount, like wallpaper. Keep in mind that the roll length for this product is 26" X 9yd (68.5 cm by 822.9 cm), so your esimation may be a little off with our "American paper". :D
