I have an old pie safe w/punched tin panels in the front doors.
(1) Will it hurt the tin if I get stripper on it? (2) The tin is a bit rusty. . . . how do I clean the tin?
(3) Once cleaned, do I need to put any sort of protector on it?

Thanks in advance.

Stripper won't hurt teh tin.

Check your local hardware for a product called 'Naval Jelly'. Follow the instructions on the container.

Assuming the piece is going to be inside in a controlled climate further protection is not needed.
