HI,
I just bought a home bar that is used and it has a polyurethane finish that has some nicks and scratches, any suggestions on getting rid of them?

Sand lightly and apply another coat of polyurethane. Repairing a finish like that is a job for the pros - better to recoat it.
If the nicks/scratches are really minor, you can probably get the job done with an aerosol.
