I am about to begin the demolition of my bathroom and welcome any tips and advice you have to offer. I need to remove the old thick set tile on concrete with wire mesh backing. I also will be removing an old cast iron tub. I've heard that a sledgehammer will take care of the tub. What would you recommend for removal of the tile and tub? I was thinking about an air hammer with a chisel bit. Thanks for your input and wish me luck.

Hammer and chisel is about it. Maybe some wire cutters for the mesh. Don't forget eye protection, and you might need a couple of band aids before your done.

If possible try to get under the tile/cement with a crowbar or two and lift it off the subfloor and crack it into chunks.
