I have been redoing our woodwork and decided to install some wainscotting.I tried matching the stains but now I have a redwood looking wainscotting(pine-stained with red oak),and it doesn't match. What can I do to get more of a golden- reddish look?

If you used Minwax stain (red oak), you may have to get a pint store to mix a stain for you. What you'll need is a gold color - probably more intense than the Golden Oak by Minwax. Yellow and red make orange.
For starters, you can get a small can of Golden Oak and try it. That may be enough to do the trick. If it isn't, ask your local paint store to add a small amount of yellow oxide (not ochre) to the stain and shake it for you. Then try again.
