Hi,
Hue on my sony kv-2784r doesn't appear on tv screen. Also,
the picture is missing color red. Any ideas?

Perhaps you need to obtain a service manual for you Sony. There is one available at http://www.treasurechestcorp.com/SONY.sm.TV2.html

I assume this is a standard CRT television set so will point you in the right direction. First, here is a great FAQ available on the web that offers a multitude of answers to TV repair questions:

No red? A lot of possibilities here:
a) No filaments in the red gun
b) a bad R-Y color discriminator stage
c) a bad red driver stage
d) a picture tube with a bad electron gun

All these are a possibility but cannot tell until some circuit checks are performed and some visual checks performed.
