Hi Eric,

Great pics. :)

So, Elizabeth, did you become a member? These two forums work hand in hand. :D

Hi Gami and Bomber

Yes, I sure did join Sierra. It was so neat to see familiar names (like yours and Howie's) at that forum. And, Gami, I love being able to put a face with a name!!!!

I tried to respond to someone's question, however, and I kept getting a message saying I was not logged in. Sort of frustrating, but I'll try again later.

I've joined the Garden Web and Organic Gardening forums, too, just to "broaden my horizons" even more. So far though, DIY has been the easiest of all to use and, obviously, I get lots of help here!!!!

Bye for now,

Elizabeth

Me again...

I just browsed your latest picture upload, Eric, and Sierra won't let me post a response for some reason ("Only the Sysop can post at this time" it said).

Anyway, I see what you mean in the cardoon pic, with the light/heat source you've provided and that's what I need to do. The temp at that window where my peppers are won't go above 70 degrees I am sure, but I hoped for the best anyway. The basil is growing and growing and growing, but I guess it's not as particular about heat.

Elizabeth,
If I remember correctly, mlmnin, another DIY and Sierra user, once said that if you get that message, it means that the server is experiencing overload, or an abundance of activity. Wait a little while, and try again. I hope to see some of your pictures up there soon :)

Bomber, I assure you and everyone else, if I have any (emphasis on any) success, there will be pictures, postcards, banners, headline news....

:)

Hi all

Seems that March Break has a lot of websites overloading - keep trying, Elizabeth!
(Btw, the Sysop error means that for all intents and purposes, part of the system is temporarily down - nothing to do with your computer) ;)

We'll all be looking for you on the 'other' side :D

Hi Elizabeth,

Glad to hear you became a member on Sierra. You're right. It is nice to put a face with a name, and I have encouraged EVERYONE to do that. Some do and some don't. Maybe I'll have to be a little more persuasive. :) I'm hoping we'll put a face with your name. You're right, DIY has a great garden board. I found it when I was searching for an answer to something, and it directed me here.

Howie's right, when you get that SYSOP message, keep checking back. It's usually not down for very long, but then once in awhile it will be down for 3 days. Groan! They usually post tho if it's going to be that long.

If you keep experiencing problems with the message "not logged in", send me an email, and I'll send you the moderator's address. She'll notify the techies, and they'll try to get you up and running. I really can't understand why they have all the problems in that area, but I've received emails from quite a few people who that happens to. Some have just given up as it's such a hassle. Keep trying and you'll eventually make it, but it won't fix itself.

For some reason, I'm having trouble posting there right now, and I don't think it's anything on their end. My 2nd line won't get a dial tone, so I plugged in the main phone line. It sounds like a Gami problem to me. Something to tackle tomorrow.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could post pics here?

We're all waiting for the postcards, banners or whatever you'd like to send. :D
