I'm just getting started composting and was wondering if those rabbit droppings from my sons pets are okay to go in there. Do they qulify as "pet" feces or "livestock" manure? =)

Unless you have one of Monty Python's man eating killer rabbits, I'd say the droppings would be fine in your compost pile. Rationalle being what goes in should be the same stuff that comes out :)

What howie means is that if all the animal eats is vegetable matter, then its ok for the compost pile. If an animal eats meat, even dry cat/dog food has meat in it, then do not use it in the compost pile.
