Hi there,
I have a Sony Trinitron KV 19TS20 television (1993) and here is the problem: When I turn on the T.V, all the channels are scrambled (static). After about 10 minutes, I get a good picture on some channels while the rest of the channels remain scrambled. After an additional 10-15 minutes, all the channels have a good picture for an hour or two, but then most of them get re-scrambled while a few remain normal. This has been going on for a few weeks now and I can't seem to find a solution. Can you help me with this on and off scrambling?

Note: There is no antenna, the feed from my cable company is fine, when there's no static the picture is fine.

This is a common problem with that series of Sony TV sets. The problem is in the tuner. There is a repair FAQ on the web that details the repair procedures for this problem. Find it at
