I have a brick vaneer house that had an addition added 10+ years ago. The two field colors are relatively close in color but they do not match. The properties of the brick are also different, one is more porous and one is more of a glazed brick. We tried to dye the brick to make it all the same color and at first it looked decent at best. Does anyone know of a good brick dye that can 1, bring both shades of brick to the same shade (of red) and 2, will it still allow the wall to breath? thanks Danny

You might try looking at this site: http://www.nawkaw.com/

This group can match the mortar joints (20% of a wall... but 60% of the total effect to the eye) and the brick!

Good luck.
