I'm using KV-L34MN11(asia).It's about 6 years old.In the first turn on the picture will alternate with dark and then back on.It seems fine at first b/c it took only few second and then picture was fine.Now the flashing took 5 minutes and longer in advance every day.After that the picture was fine.If I turn off the tv set longer than 5 éhour the problem will start again.Please let me know what is the solution for this problem.I can't take it to the repairing shop because of its weight.I'm going to repair with my friend at home after hearing from you.(sorry for my english)

I have heard reports of a failure of the high voltage/focus block breaking down on these sets causing a high voltage oscillation problem. This appears to be the problem here.
