I applied to coats of stain to my furniture. I have dark freckles on the wood in the stain best way of eleminating these. should I start over or is there something more i can do.

Sand it out, bleach with oxalic acid, and restain.

DON'T USE STEEL WOOL UNTIL AFTER THE FIRST COAT OF FINISH HAS BEEN APPLIED>>>

I tried to sand the furniture. but it ended up pulling up some of the stain. I had not put fresh stain on since Sunday. So I decided to strip it and start over.

Thanks for the advice.
