We are getting ready to make a decision on a new laminate floor in our kitchen.
We had heard only good about Mannington until today when we went to our local flooring store and they have decided not to carry the Mannington line anymore. They have had too many problems with buckling-the installers have refused to install it anymore. We liked the Mannington because the tile laminate has the texture. When I mentioned this to the flooring store they recommended the Shaw Texture laminate. We love the look but have not heard one thing good or bad about-unlike Pergo, Wilson Art, Mannington we hadn't even heard of the brand Shaw.
Also, do you know if the Wilson Art is coming out w/a textured tile laminate?
Thank you in advance,

Shaw is the very same Shaw that is one of, if not the largest carpet mills in the world. They are now into laminate floors, as well as other types, and they have a good product.
Formica has a product line you might want to look into also.

When selecting a laminate product, compare apples to apples when it comes to quality, construction, price and warranty. Most manufacturers produce a good, better, best line of products. Manington has a very reputable line of products as do other manufacturers. Again, consider the good, better, best when it comes to pricing and warranty. It is always best to follow manufacturer's installation and surface prep recommendations to maintain warranties. We just went throught the same thing. We went from Formica to Shaw to Armstrong. We are using the tile look for our kitchen and finaly decided on Armstrong with a 25 yr warranty. They are locking planks which I originaly didnt want in a kitchen but you can glue the top of the tonge as per Armstrong instructions for wet areas like a bath.
