My Sony XBR 32 inchtelevision's picture just became smaller by about 20% and the sides of the picture are concave. Picture is viewable. Should I call to have it repaired or just purchase a new tv?

Good evening, ooffereins:

You didn't give me much information to go on. It would be nice to know how old the set is. Did the problem happen suddenly or just happen over time? Any other little problems you noticed?

As for your problem, look to the low voltage power supply for your answer. When the picture starts getting smaller in all directions, you look to the power supply that is making the voltages.

Look to this site for general evaluations:

And, thanks for coming to DoItYourself.com. We will do our best to help you.

Thank you for your answer Smokey.
The Television is about 5 years old and there were no problems of any kind and this problem occured suddenly.
