Good evening, Blackie:

Here we go again! You jump in and give us just a brief piece of information and expect us to come up with an answer. Now take a deep breath, look at the set, and tell us EXACTLY what is going on.

How is the picture going on and off? Tell me everything you see.

And, if you start another thread, I will hire the Mafia to dynamite your car. LOL!

Oh, my! A woman! Sigh! LOL! We cater to all sexes at this website.

Where are you getting all these TV sets? Do you have a bunch of condo's that you are renting furnished?

While I researching your problem, check out this website:

Pay attention to Chapter 22:

And, for the record, the problem is in the low voltage power supply regulator circuit. I suspect a bad filter capacitor and/or a bad solder connection. Either is possible.

hi smokey
I think i've find the source of trouble
on the back of the set where you hook cable up it has a switch for annenta or cable well their is what looks like a resister
has a black cover on it but one side is loose the other is not.
should i take the whole thing off and will it bite me lol
or do i just put it back in the hole and solder it.
just learning but am very carefull

thanks blackie

Poor contrast is related to a video driver problem or, in some instances, the automatic gain control (AGC) circuit. Either one will cause you to have a "washed out" picture.

Again, you didn't tell me anything about make or model so this is just general information.
