I have a 1997 Philips Magnavox Model#7P5433 W102 Big screen TV. The picture is getting dark and has a green haze to it. I have to turn the brightness and picture all the way up to see the picture.. The green haze seems to be getting darker and greener.. Any Ideas?

Good evening, RonD:

A set that young would tend to make me wonder about the power supplies. Either the low voltage power supply being out of whack or the high voltage power supply having problems would
give you this indication.

Frankly, my first thought is the regulation on the low voltage power supply and not getting enough voltage to the G-2 grids in the projection tubes.

All kidding aside, it's time to call the shop before you do some serious damage to the projection tubes.

Good Morning, RonD:

Anything is possible in electronics and, yes, it could well be the green projection tube. But, then again, it could be problems in the other areas.

It could be the board on the back of the green projection tube is breaking down. It could be a power supply problem as I indicated earlier. But, a set this new usually doesn't have a bad projection tube so I recommend eliminating all else before you spend the big bucks to put in a new projection tube.
