Saw some beautiful Brazilian Cherry tongue and groove strip flooring @ the Home Depot for $4.39 sq. ft. It's got an aluminum oxide finish with a 15 yr. warranty. The only problem is its just 5/16" thick. Is this too thin? How will it hold up in a low-traffic master bedroom? Will we able to refinish it in the future? The rep said that it is a glue down type floor, and that I could not float it. (Floating is so easy!) What are the installation concerns for a second story install over a 3/4" inch subfloor (1/2" plywood, under 1/4" Luan)? Some moderate work is needed to get a completely flat subfloor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
