I would like to cover my existing concrete front porch and sidewalk with brick. I am looking for advice on which product to use regular brick vs brick veneer vs pavers and a general idea on how to prep the existing walkway. I have layed some block, but this will definately be new territory for me.

Hi Drew,
I done this project a few times, this may not be the way everyone would do it but it works for me.
Use brick pavers, any pattern or bond you would like. Install them using tile thinset, not a mortar bed. The thinset is much quicker and easier. This will work best if the sidewalk and porch are nice and flat, with no raised or cracked sections.
You will also need to account for the expansion joints in the sidewalk, either an underlayment or work the bond out so the expansion joint is beneath a brick mortar joint.
If your brick sidewalk is going to adjoin another concrete section you will need to remove a section of sidewalk about 5 feet back from where the brick will end. Replace this section with a new sloped section which will end a bricks thickness lower than the adjoining sectioin. That way you will not have a brick tripping hazard.
