I just completed the install of Pergo Prodigy today (03/01/02). All the information I got was that the carpeting had to be removed before the install. On my install I had carpet previously on the floor but due flooding I had to remove it. Good Luck.

Following manufacturer's subfloor and surface prep recommendations is best as is following installation instructions. Go to www.doityourself.com/laminate and www.azfred.com for helpful tips.

I would like to hear the brand name of the indoor/outdoor laminate flooring. No, there is no manufacturer that supports a warrantee on carpet. Angus, a little more research may save you considerable grief.
