I have a RCA tv model F20551WN from 1991 that I can't get the video function to work. It has audio video jacks in the back of the tv and I hooked a dvd player up to them but I can not figure out how to switch the tv to video so that the dvd player will play. Does anyone know how this tv works??

Good Morning, starzfn09:
Normally, that is a menu fuction of your remote control. The set has to be electronically switched to change the video from your set's internal circuits to accept video from an external source.

I know this is normally a menu function on the remote, but with this particular remote(which is the one that originally came with the tv) I can't get it switched to video mode. I have pushed every button on the remote and combinations of buttons and nothing seems to do the job. Does anyone know how this particular tv works or know anywhere online to look at a owners manual. Thanx for the help I've recieved but I still need more help.

One thing for certain is that Thomson Consumer Electronics (GE, RCA, etc) are not willing to give up any information on their equipment.
One site provided this information:
Thomson Consumer Electronics
Includes RCA, GE, and ProScan
The manufacturer does not provide for retail sales through their distributors.
At this time we recommend that you contact TCE Publications direct.
317-491-8110
Another possibility for obtaining this information would be
Union Electronics. They stock a lot of manuals for service and operation for various brands of Television Sets (including RCA)
Try them at http://www.unionel.com
Call them on their consumer hot line and you will find them very helpful.

This model has the A/V input programmed on Channel 91.
Of course, if you do not have this channel already pro-
grammed, you will have to add it from the menu channel
add/edit function.
