hi,
i have a 91 model magnavox projection tv and i have adjusted the convergence and everything and the screen looks very good aside from that it is slightly yellowed when you look at a white screen it has a yellow tint to it i tried cleaning the lenses and the mirror any ideas what this could be or should i just get used to it?
thanks.

Sounds like the screen levels are out of whack. Under the front panel there is an adjustment panel with six adjustment pots. Get a flashlight and look at them closely. You will notice that they are labeled screen and focus. Mark the position of their current setting with white-out or something similiar. Then with a white screen on your tv, adust the red screen control down slightly and see if that takes the yellow out of your screen. If it has no effect, try the green and/or the blue screen controls. Always move them back to the position you marked if they have no effect. You did mark them, right? If you don't feel comfortable working around a live set with lethal voltages inside, please call a qualified technician to do this.

Sounds like the red projection tube has slipped off the high end and has gotten weak. The average life for these tubes is about nine years so the time frame is about right.
A tech can adjust the red screen voltages on this set and drive the red tube a little harder to compensate for the change. But, the fix is short lived and the problem will return.
