I am refinishing my bathroom cabinets (red oak) and have sucessfully removed the old (16 years old) finish everywhere except on the door panels. They still show remains of wood stain in the grain. I re-applied more stripper (citristrip) but didn't gain much at all. I would like to know if there is something that would remove this remaining wood stain. I tried sanding but it is taking very long and I am concerned about how thick the wood is on these panels. Any help is appreciated.

Cachibache,
The citristrip will remove the finish but rarely remove all the stain.
You will probably need to use a two part wood bleach or sodium hydroxide (lye). Either of these should remove most if not all of the stain.
