My room is a 12 by 12, and I was trying to determine the length of my last row for my pergo prodigy install. I put together one full row the width of the room including the starting spacer (1/4 inch). When all were laid out this left me with a 1 1/8 inch gap minus the 1/4 inch spacer, 7/8 inch left. It seems like a waste of board to go back to the first row and cut them all just so I can have 2 inches or more on my last row. Couldn't I just use more than 1/4 inch spacers to even it out and buy a larger base board to cover the gap around the perimeter? Basically what this means is when I laid out a full row the width of the room all I had left was 7/8 inch from the end of last row to my base board and would like to use more than 1/4 inch spacers to make the end gap smaller and cover the gap up with a larger base board. I could use some advice.
Thanks.
