If YOU choose a name on DIY, is it sacred? In other words, is it registered so that nobody else can use it?

yes it is.
i just discovered and signed on to this site about 10 minutes ago and the initial user name i was going to use was immediately denied becuase it was already taken...i guess i,m not the only guy named ron on the intrnet,whooda thought.

Well, are there two Zone 7's? I'm still confused. Zone 7, maybe you can clear this up. One has been here for awhile, and one just recently posted???

Fred, since Gami really means Grammy, I doubt if you'd want to steal my name. However, I have received an email that someone thought I was a man from India.

ct arborist, fancy that! More than one "Ron" on the Internet. Never would have believed that one. There are other Gami's too. Whooda thought!?

Hi Gami,
No, you can keep your name. But I've been called much worse!!
There really could be a bunch of Zone 7 names, especialy if we are case sensitive, I can't remember, such as the folowing::
Zone7, Zone 7, zone 7, zone7, and Zoneseven, ZoneSeven,
etc., would all be unique.
