What is the normal waste percentage for a small job? I have a dinette room 9 1/2 X 11 1/2, 109.25 total ft.
Also, is 5/16 thick flooring not too thin to put on slab?
Thanks,
Jerryk

Most carpet comes 12' or 15' wide. A 3" allowance is added for cuts. I would go with a piece 12' wide x 10' long. 9'6" + 3" = 9'9"

Sorry about that, I had carpet on my mind. The industry standard for installation of first quality wood products is 5% for your cuts.
