My bathtub faucets are 45 years old. I need to replace them because they leak and look ugly. What sort of tools do I need to to this? These things are frozen and inside the wall.
Also, would a new faucet set be compatible with my piping/tubing?
If not, what parts should I replace besides new washers?
Any and all tips are most welcome. Thank you

You may be able to just replace the valve stems, estucheon bonnets, and the handles for a "new" look.
Have you removed the handles and tried to unscrew valves?
If you can't reach them, you might need a set of valve sockets to reach into the wall.

Just find the one that will fit your valves and unscrew them counterclockwise.
Good Luck!
